Yahoo’s obscure and not fully realized Mixd pilot ends Feb 25th, 2007. The announcement was made by SMS to Mixd service users. Apparently the availability of the service ends then too. Zypsy is a cool variation on the schemes to offer value to mobile users by converting voice to text. Recall that Copytalk, Simulscribe, and SpinVox convert voicemails to email and SMS text messages. Aangel specializes a bit by converting short snippets of voice commands into reminders and calendar entries. [...]

Yahoo quietly launched Mixd yesterday. On the phone side, Mixd is equivalent to and even slightly better than 3Jam. Mixd’s web interface for creating and managing the SMS groups is much better than 3Jam’s though still raw and has the capability to receive and display videos and photos.
